We have found that, often, there are clients that do not understand how we can be so competetive and stay within your budget,
while maintaining a high level of service. Below are some questions that have been asked that we thought might be helpfiul.
"How is it possible that Smoky Mountain Audio Visual can produce my meeting here (in California) for less than a locally based
company?"
Answer: While Smoky Mounain Audio Visual offers our clients a higher standard in equipment and services, we are a small
company. When you hire Smoky Mountain Audio Visual, you are our ONLY concern during your meeting. We do not double book
dates. If you contract us for a week in December, you are all we have for that week! This allows us to cut our overhead and,
therefore, our cost to you.
More importantly, it allows us to focus on you 100% . When Smoky Mountain Audio Visual is on your show site, you will not be
bothered by ever changing personnel. We are YOURS for the duration of the event.
"How does Smoky Mountain Audio Visual handle pop up's and additions when you're here in Colorado and your warehouse is in
Tennessee?"
Answer:Our team has been producing events for a long long time and our mission is to make your event as seemless as
possible. The possibility of additions or changes in a meeting environment is always very high. Anticipating problems or
additions is something that is factored into every meeting or event. In addition to bringing spare equipment with us, we have
established relationships with providers all over the country. When we have an event in a location, such as, Denver, we always
contact those vendors in advance to ensure they are aware that we are in town, so they are prepared for any needs that may arise.
" We have always been treated like second-class citizens because we do not have a huge budget! Why is it that a client with a
small budget is often overlooked when clients with large budgets can choose from various vendors?"
Answer: Of course I cannot speak for other companies, but I can tell you that when I've worked with some large "National"
companies, they were too busy and did not have time to work with clients with smaller budgets. This is the very reason that Smoky
Mountain Audio Visual exists!! Our company is taylor made to work with the smaller clients! In fact, our primary market is the
smaller conventions that otherwise get left out in the cold. We signed this company to give the SMALL client the HUGE look. With
Intelligent Lighting, Fiber Optic Curiains, Lasers, Top Quality Video Projectors, Sound Systems and more, we are able to give you
that LARGE CORPORATE LOOK at a lower cost to you!
"Does Smoky Mountain Audio Visual do anything besides Conventions and Concerts?"
Answer:OH YES!!! Smoky Mountain Audio Visual (and our sister company, Mije Event Productions), offers a wide variety of
services. We do a large number of audio, video, and lighting systems for churches and other local businesses. We offer
installations for commercial buildings that range from music systems to video systems.
We offer Home Theater and Smart Home technology, as well as, video editing and photography. Smoky Mountain Audio Visual is
truly your ONE STOP SHOP for anything related to audio, visual, or other media related items.
"You expressed concern when we told you that we were going to have our convention at a Union facility in Chicago. Why?"
AnswerTo be totally honest, we have found that, all too often, the Union (in many locations) tends to make things difficult, not only
for us, but for you, as well. With endless (and sometimes, ridiculous) rules and extremely elevated labor rates and regulations, we
have found that the union, often times, make things far less enjoyable than they have too. Of course, there are some great unions
and union personnel out there, however, as a rule, we tend to gravitate towards non-union facilities. This translates into less
hassle for everyone and lower costs for you! After all, MEETING YOUR BUDGET is our goal here at Smoky Mountain Audio Visual
Unions have their place in the industry, but often, they tend to be somewhat counter productive. We will certainly work with a client
that wants to hold their meeting in a union facility, however, it is with the understanding that our hands will be somewhat tied with
regards to labor costs and other union related charges.
